Donate to the ReStore & Build a Stronger Community
The ReStore is more than a thrift store. When you donate items, the proceeds help Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity build, repair, and rehabilitate safe, affordable homes.
For the safety and quality of our inventory, we only accept certain donation items and require that all items be in good, resaleable condition. Items with stains, rips, tears, cracks, pet hair, or strong odors cannot be accepted. Please review the list of accepted and non-accepted items below before donating.
To ensure your gift makes the greatest impact, please note that after-hours drop-offs are not permitted. Leaving items or trash outside the store creates additional disposal costs, which means fewer dollars supporting Habitat’s mission.

How to Schedule a Pickup for Your Donations
We offer Saturday donation pickups for residents of Hanover and King William Counties!
Please see our list of accepted items. Be advised that items with stains, rips, tears, cracks, pet hair, or odors cannot be accepted. Our driver has the right to refuse donations based on their condition.
Items for donation must be accessible outside the home on the first floor or in a garage. The donor or someone representing them must be present at the time of pick up.
How to donate your items for pickup:
1. Call the store to be scheduled: (804-569-6226).
2. Once you are on our schedule, a store representative will call to confirm your donation pickup on the day prior to the pickup.
3. On the day of your pickup, a driver will call you to confirm that there is someone on-site. The call will come from a number you may not be familiar with. Failing to answer that call may result in your donation not being picked up.
4. Donation receipts are available for tax purposes! Just ask our driver to prepare one for you.
